Privacy Policy
Pastor Dave Pro is a discipleship tool, and we treat your trust as sacred. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who can see it — in plain language.
What we collect
- Account information: your name and email address, collected when you sign up (via our authentication provider, Clerk).
- Conversations: your voice and text conversations with Pastor Dave, including transcripts, so the app can show your history, plus short notes Pastor Dave saves (such as your name or a prayer request you mention) so he can remember context between sessions.
- Phone number: if you call Pastor Dave or link your phone, we store your number to recognize your calls and connect them to your account and memory.
- Requests you send to your church: prayer requests you submit through Prayer Partner Dave, support requests (including the chat transcript you attach), and Discipleship Coach progress and notes.
- Prayer journal entries: prayer requests you choose to log, stored so you can track them over time.
- Church content: sermons, bulletins, and settings your church administrator uploads so Pastor Dave can reference your church's own teaching.
- Billing information: processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Basic usage data: things like conversation counts and feature usage, used to operate the service and enforce plan limits.
- Free preview without an account: if you try Pastor Dave at /try without signing in, we keep a scrambled, one-way code derived from your IP address for up to 30 days, only to limit free conversations. We never store the IP address itself. The preview conversation is processed by ElevenLabs and isn't saved to any account, and Pastor Dave doesn't remember it.
How we use it
We use your information to operate Pastor Dave Pro: to run your conversations, keep your history and prayer journal, administer church accounts, process payments, and provide support. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your conversations for advertising.
Who processes your data
We rely on a small number of trusted service providers to run the product. Each only receives what it needs to do its job:
- Clerk — sign-in and account identity
- Stripe — subscription billing
- Cloudflare — hosting and database
- ElevenLabs — voice and text conversation AI
- Mem0 — conversation memory
- Anthropic — sermon summaries, sermon search, devotionals, and discussion guides
- Resend — account email and prayer-request and support notifications
- Twilio — phone calls and verification codes
- API.Bible — Scripture lookups (no personal data)
- Google Fonts — web fonts (your browser requests them directly, which shares your IP address with Google)
What your church administrator can see
If you joined through a church plan, your church administrator can see:
- your email address, that you are a member, and basic usage (such as when you joined);
- prayer requests you submit to your church through Prayer Partner Dave (these are also sent by email, and requests that mention self-harm or abuse are flagged as urgent);
- support requests you submit, including the chat transcript you attach;
- your Discipleship Coach journey, milestones, and notes, if you use Discipleship Coach.
They cannot read your conversations with Pastor Dave, your prayer journal, or your sermon notes.
Who at Reep Works can see your data
A small number of authorized Reep Works staff can access account data and conversation records to provide support, investigate safety concerns, and operate the service. Support requests and prayer-request notifications may also be emailed to our team. We do not read conversations for any other purpose.
Data retention
We keep your account data, conversations, and journal entries for as long as your account is active, so your history and memory persist across sessions. To delete your account and personal data, email us at gheistand@reepworks.com. We will delete your data from our systems, and ask our service providers to delete it, within 30 days of your request, except where we are required to keep records (for example, billing records for tax purposes).
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it at any time by emailing gheistand@reepworks.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
A note on pastoral care
Pastor Dave is a discipleship companion, not a pastor, counselor, or crisis service. It does not provide clinical or crisis counseling. If you are in crisis, please contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988) or your local emergency services.
Children
Pastor Dave Pro is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. Churches that invite younger members are responsible for obtaining any needed parental consent.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. We'll post the new version here and update the date above. Continued use of Pastor Dave Pro after changes means you accept the updated policy.
